Treatment of gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, alleviation of gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms, and maintenance therapy effects
This medication is used to treat gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, erosive and ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease. It alleviates the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease and is also helpful for long-term maintenance therapy for this condition. Additionally, it can be used with antibiotics for patients with gastrointestinal ulcers infected with Helicobacter pylori to enhance therapeutic effects. It is also indicated for the treatment of Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Therefore, it is used as an effective agent for various gastrointestinal diseases.
For gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers: Administer 10 mg orally once daily, and based on symptoms, it can be increased to 20 mg once daily. Treatment duration is up to 8 weeks for gastric ulcers and up to 6 weeks for duodenal ulcers. For erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease: Administer 10 mg or 20 mg once daily for 4-8 weeks. If symptoms persist after 8 weeks of treatment, an additional course of 10 mg or 20 mg, taken twice daily for another 8 weeks, may be considered.
