Improvement of hypertension control in essential hypertension
Essential hypertension is a condition characterized by persistently elevated blood pressure that burdens the cardiovascular system. Amlodipine and valsartan are medications that each work to dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure. However, if blood pressure is not adequately controlled with these medications alone, combination therapy or other treatment options may be considered. Therefore, this medication is used for the treatment of essential hypertension and effectively regulates blood pressure to improve cardiovascular health.
The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, to be taken with water regardless of meals. It is recommended to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). 5/80 milligrams: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with treatment using either 5 milligrams of amlodipine or 80 milligrams of valsartan alone. 5/160 milligrams: Administered to patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with treatment using either 5 milligrams of amlodipine or 160 milligrams of valsartan alone.
