Precautions

This drug should not be used by patients with allergic reactions to specific ingredients or those with genetic disorders that impair lactose digestion. Caution is needed in patients with liver function problems or a history of liver disease, as the liver condition may worsen when using this drug. If allergic symptoms such as skin rash, hives, itching, or swelling appear during use, discontinue the medication immediately and seek medical attention. This drug may cause neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, headache, dizziness, and insomnia, so caution is needed when operating machinery or driving. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or constipation may occur; if symptoms persist, consult a physician. Liver function impairment may occur, so if liver enzyme levels rise or jaundice symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and visit a hospital. Renal-related abnormalities may cause proteinuria, and urinary symptoms such as frequent urination or hematuria may occur, so inform healthcare professionals of these symptoms. Cardiovascular and respiratory symptoms such as palpitations or difficulty breathing may rarely occur, so careful observation is needed. Blood tests may show thrombocytopenia or leukocytosis, so it is important to notify medical personnel of any unusual symptoms. Women may rarely experience symptoms such as breast pain or menstrual irregularities, so consultation is advised if such changes occur. This drug is not a rapid relief medication for asthma attacks, and this should be adequately explained to asthma patients. Patients undergoing long-term steroid treatment should gradually reduce steroid use when taking this medication and require medical supervision. While this drug does not significantly impact driving ability, drowsiness may occur, necessitating caution when driving or operating machinery. If effectiveness is not confirmed, avoid long-term use, and it is advisable for seasonal allergy patients to take this medication consistently before symptoms appear. This drug may have a low potential to enhance sedation effects when used with other sedatives or alcohol, but there is insufficient combined use experience, so caution is necessary. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks when using this drug, and breastfeeding mothers should avoid taking it or discontinue breastfeeding. Safety for children, especially newborns and infants, has not been sufficiently established, so caution is required for use. Elderly patients often have decreased liver and kidney function, which may lead to adverse reactions, so regular observation and dose adjustment may be necessary. In case of overdose, cardiac abnormalities such as arrhythmias may occur, so immediate emergency treatment and an electrocardiogram should be conducted if suspected. This drug should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring it to another container may cause quality degradation or accidents, so caution is needed. Taking this medication on an empty stomach may result in higher blood concentrations, so it is advisable to consult a physician regarding the timing of medication when treating allergic rhinitis or skin diseases.
