Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, and should be avoided in patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria. The intake of aspartame should be limited to below the WHO recommended levels, with a maximum daily limit of 2.4 grams for adults. Additionally, due to the presence of lactose in this medication, it should not be taken by patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. This medication is not intended for treating acute asthma attacks, therefore a separate appropriate emergency medication should be prepared if acute symptoms occur. When reducing the dosage of inhaled corticosteroids, this must be done progressively according to a doctor's instructions, and should not be abruptly substituted. While taking this medication, patients may experience neuropsychiatric symptoms, so the patient or caregiver should notify the doctor immediately if any changes occur. In cases of exercise-induced bronchospasm, this medication alone should not be used for treatment, and inhaled beta-agonists should continue to be used, with preparations made for emergency situations. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin should not take aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs while taking this medication. Rarely, serious adverse effects such as vasculitis or eosinophilia may occur, and physicians should carefully monitor the patient. While drug interactions during treatment are minimal, caution should be exercised when used in conjunction with certain liver enzyme inducers. This medication should only be taken during pregnancy when clearly necessary, and nursing women should use it with caution. Both children and the elderly can take this medication, but they should follow a doctor's recommendations regarding safety and dosage adjustments based on age. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so general treatment should be administered according to symptoms, and medical attention should be sought. This medication is sensitive to light, so do not open until right before dosing, and take within 15 minutes after preparation. When storing, keep it out of the reach of children and do not transfer it to another container. Lastly, this medication should be taken consistently even when asthma symptoms are not present, and if symptoms worsen, a consultation with a physician is required.
