Relief and prevention of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial) and sinusitis, nasal polyps.
This medication is used to prevent and treat symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis in children over 2 years of age and adults. Particularly, patients with moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis may take this medication preventively starting 2 to 4 weeks before pollen season begins. It is also effective for the treatment of nasal polyps in adults aged over 18, and is used for acute sinusitis in adults and adolescents over 12 years old without severe bacterial infections. This medication helps relieve and treat various symptoms related to rhinitis and sinusitis.
1. Allergic Rhinitis Adults (including the elderly) and adolescents over 12 years: Generally, spray twice in each nostril once a day (total daily dose 0.2 mg). If symptoms improve, the maintenance dose can be reduced to once in each nostril (total daily dose 0.1 mg). If symptoms do not improve, the dose can be increased up to a maximum of four times in each nostril once a day (total daily dose 0.4 mg).

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, do not use if allergic to this drug or its components, or in cases of untreated infections of the nasal mucosa. Patients who have recently undergone nasal surgery or have wounds in the nose should also not use this medication. It is not to be administered to children under 2 years of age. There are cases where caution is required while using this medication. Patients with active tuberculosis or systemic infections, those with herpes simplex in the eye, individuals who experience frequent nosebleeds, those who have had or are at risk for chickenpox or measles, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this medication with caution. This medication can cause various side effects, including headache, viral infections, pharyngitis, nosebleeds, cough, and upper respiratory infections. In rare cases, some patients have reported symptoms such as skin rash, nasal irritation, liver function abnormalities, and changes in blood counts. Rarely, severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis may occur, and if unusual symptoms appear, use should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Long-term use at high doses may lead to systemic side effects, so caution is needed. If symptoms of nasal infection appear, stop using the medication or seek appropriate treatment. Long-term use may cause changes in the nasal mucosa, requiring regular check-ups. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consider the potential effects on the fetus or infant and consult a doctor before using the medication. In children, regular growth monitoring is necessary, as the medication could affect growth rates. This medication may interact with other drugs, so caution is especially needed when used in combination with specific antifungals, antibiotics, or antivirals. Before use, shake the container well, and if it has not been used for a period, a test spray should be performed. Care must be taken to avoid spraying directly into the eyes or the nasal septum.
