Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients with certain allergic reactions. Caution is especially necessary for those who have a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactam antibiotics. Patients with viral infections such as infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia are at a higher risk of developing rashes and should avoid the use of this medicine. Patients with a history of liver function problems should also be cautious as re-administration of this drug may lead to liver damage. Patients with impaired liver function or moderate to severe renal dysfunction may experience increased drug concentrations; therefore, careful administration and adjustment of dosing intervals are required. Patients with allergic constitutions or those who frequently experience symptoms such as asthma or skin rashes should be cautious when taking this medicine. Patients with gastrointestinal diseases or severe vomiting and diarrhea should be careful as the drug may not be properly absorbed. This medicine can cause various gastrointestinal side effects, so if symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, or vomiting occur, it is important to consult a doctor immediately. Liver function tests may be required during long-term use as liver enzyme levels may temporarily rise or symptoms like hepatitis and jaundice can rarely occur. Rarely, severe skin reactions or anaphylactic shocks can occur, so if symptoms such as rash or difficulty breathing appear, the medication should be stopped immediately and medical consultation should be sought. Blood components may be affected, potentially causing leukopenia or anemia in blood tests, and patients with a tendency to bleed should be particularly cautious. Rarely, unusual reactions may occur in the central nervous system, and immediate treatment is necessary if seizures or changes in consciousness arise. Kidney function may deteriorate rapidly, so regular kidney function tests are required, and if any signs of abnormality appear, the use of the drug should be stopped. This drug can disrupt the balance of intestinal bacteria, potentially leading to infections such as stomatitis or candidiasis, so any symptoms should be reported immediately. There is a risk of bleeding due to vitamin K deficiency, so long-term users or the elderly should be closely monitored for bleeding symptoms. This drug can interact with other medications, especially when taken with anticoagulants or other antibiotics, so patients should inform their doctor and pharmacist, and regular testing is necessary. It is advised to avoid taking this medication during the first trimester of pregnancy, and caution is needed while breastfeeding as side effects may occur in the baby. Children under 12 years of age or weighing less than 40 kg have limited experience with this medication and its use is not recommended. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more readily due to decreased bodily function, so doses and intervals should be adjusted, and their condition should be checked frequently. In case of overdose, gastrointestinal symptoms, increased activity, drowsiness, etc. may occur; in severe cases, emergency treatment should be sought immediately. This medicine should be stored in a sealed container that prevents moisture, and should be kept in a cool place between 1°C and 25°C. It is important to avoid direct sunlight or excessively hot places for storage.
