This medication is effective for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis, acute gout, dysmenorrhea. It is also used for various pains and inflammation such as bursitis, musculoskeletal disorders (sprains, contusions, trauma, low back pain), postoperative pain, migraines, and post-extraction pain. Overall, it helps reduce inflammation and alleviate pain.
1. Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis Adults: Administer naproxen 250-500 mg once, twice a day (every 12 hours) orally. 2. Acute gout Adults: Administer 750 mg of naproxen as the initial dose orally, and then continue with 250 mg orally every 8 hours until the attack subsides. 3. Musculoskeletal disorders, postoperative pain, post-extraction pain, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis Adults:
This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding if taken by individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day. It should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist. It may affect the cardiovascular system, increasing the risk of serious thrombotic reactions such as myocardial infarction or stroke, so patients, especially those with cardiovascular disease or risk factors, should exercise caution. This medication can cause serious adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, and perforations, and the risk may increase, particularly in the elderly or with long-term use; therefore, gastrointestinal symptoms should be monitored closely. Patients with a history of peptic ulcers, severe blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, heart failure, renal impairment, hypertension, or hypersensitivity to any component of this medication should not take it. Administer this medication cautiously in patients with a history of peptic ulcer disease, blood abnormalities, bleeding tendencies, liver dysfunction, renal impairment, heart failure, hypertension, hypersensitivity, bronchial asthma, autoimmune disorders, and the elderly. This medication can lead to various adverse reactions such as hypersensitivity, gastrointestinal bleeding, blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, renal impairment, central nervous system disorders, skin reactions, and hearing and vision impairments; if any abnormal symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. The lowest effective dose and shortest duration of use should be used, and patients with chronic diseases should undergo regular clinical check-ups to monitor for adverse reactions. There may be interactions when combined with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, specific anticonvulsants, hypoglycemics, beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors, diuretics, aspirin, lithium, methotrexate, anticoagulants, etc.; therefore, the possibility of co-administration should be checked carefully. In late pregnancy, avoid use due to the risk of ductus arteriosus closure in the fetus; after the second trimester, use the minimum effective dose for the shortest duration while monitoring the amniotic fluid condition. This medication can be excreted in breast milk and may cause adverse reactions in neonates, so breastfeeding women should not take this medication. It is advisable not to administer to infants under 2 years old due to the lack of established safety. Special attention should be paid to administering it in small doses to children and the elderly, monitoring for adverse reactions. This medication can affect blood test results, so take caution during testing, as it may prolong bleeding time, among other effects. In case of overdose, symptoms such as drowsiness, indigestion, or vomiting may arise, and immediate medical treatment should be sought.

Do not take this medication with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and naproxen derivatives. Avoid interactions with hydantoins, sulfonamides, sulfonylurea hypoglycemics, propranolol and other beta-blockers, ACE inhibitors (e.g., captopril), loop and thiazide diuretics, probenecid, aspirin, lithium, methotrexate, and coumarin anticoagulants (e.g., warfarin), zidovudine, quinolone antibiotics (e.g., enoxacin).
Store this medication in a tightly closed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. Additionally, it is safest to store it at room temperature between 1 to 30 degrees Celsius.
