Treatment of infections in the respiratory system (bronchitis, pneumonia) and urogenital system (cystitis, gonorrhea)
This medicine is effective against a variety of bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli, and is used in the treatment of respiratory infections such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, and otitis media. It is also effective for urinary tract infections such as cystitis, urethritis, and pyelonephritis, as well as for gonorrhea and pelvic inflammatory disease. It is utilized for skin and soft tissue infections such as abscesses, cellulitis, and wound infections, as well as for osteomyelitis and dental infections. This drug is reliable for treating various bacterial infections, including those caused by beta-lactamase-producing strains. Overall, it is used to treat infections in the respiratory, urogenital, skin and soft tissue, bones, and dental areas.
For mild to moderate infections, such as recurrent tonsillitis, upper respiratory infections, lower respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, and skin or soft tissue infections, it is generally administered as amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium at 25 mg/3.6 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into 2 doses. In cases of severe infections such as otitis media, sinusitis, lower respiratory infections like bronchopneumonia and urinary tract infections, it is generally administered as amoxicillin/clavulanate potassium at 45 mg/6.4 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into 2 doses.
The 7:1 syrup is not suitable for children under 2 months of age. Pediatric patients with renal failure are not suitable for 7:1 syrup.
This drug contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, and should not be used by patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic disorder. It should also not be administered to patients with allergies to its components or to beta-lactam antibiotics, patients with certain viral infections, patients with a history of liver dysfunction, and those with lactose intolerance. Caution is advised for patients with impaired liver function or severe kidney dysfunction, individuals with allergic predispositions, and elderly patients or those with poor nutritional status. While taking this drug, gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, and abnormalities in liver function tests, skin rashes, and allergic reactions may occur. Patients should consult a doctor immediately if symptoms arise. Particularly, a severe allergic reaction known as anaphylactic shock may rarely occur, so patient status should be closely monitored after administration. When administered for long periods, it is crucial to use it for the minimum necessary time to prevent the emergence of resistant bacteria, and to undergo regular liver and kidney function tests. Women who are pregnant or nursing should discuss the use of this drug with their doctor, and it is generally advised not to use it during the first three months of pregnancy. Safety has not been established for children, particularly newborns under 2 months, necessitating caution. This drug may interact with other medications, so it is essential to inform healthcare providers of any current medications.
Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe allergic reactions, high fever accompanied by severe rashes, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, severe skin adverse reactions, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever, breathing problems, jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), extreme lethargy, liver problems (jaundice), sudden and severe reactions.

This drug should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent air or moisture infiltration. The storage temperature should be maintained between 1 degree and 25 degrees. This will help preserve the drug's efficacy and safety.
