This medication is used for chronic myeloid leukemia, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, and certain difficult-to-treat blood and soft tissue disorders susceptible to specific tyrosine kinases. In patients with chronic myeloid leukemia, it helps improve survival rates through hematological and cytogenetic responses. Additionally, it can be used as an adjuvant therapy in patients with inoperable or metastatic gastrointestinal stromal tumors, or to prevent recurrence after surgery. Meanwhile, it has also demonstrated efficacy for rare conditions such as myelodysplastic syndromes, hypereosinophilia, chronic eosinophilic leukemia, and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. This drug plays an important role in the treatment of complex blood and tumor-related diseases, contributing to the improvement of the patient's condition.
