Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. For example, individuals who are allergic to this medicine or any of its components or have experienced hypersensitivity should not use it. Patients with untreated nasal mucosal infections or those who have recently undergone nasal surgery or have injuries in the nasal cavity should also avoid using this medication. It should not be administered to very young children, specifically infants under 2 years of age. Caution is required when used in patients with active or latent tuberculosis, systemic infections, ocular herpes, a history of recurrent nosebleeds, exposure risk to varicella or measles, certain nasal conditions, and women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Prolonged or high-dose use of this medication could result in systemic side effects. Additionally, serious allergic reactions such as bronchospasm or respiratory distress may occur after nasal administration, and if symptoms appear, the use should be stopped immediately and medical attention sought. When used in children, monitoring for possible growth delays is important, and the minimal effective dosage should always be used. This medication can irritate the nasal mucosa, and prolonged use may lead to local infections or changes in the nasal mucosa, necessitating regular examinations. There may be interactions when used with other medications, especially those that inhibit the CYP3A4 enzyme, which could increase the risk of systemic side effects. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should use this medication under a doctor's supervision, considering the potential effects on the fetus or newborn. In cases of overdose, special treatment is often not needed, but excessive use can lead to systemic side effects, such as adrenal insufficiency, necessitating caution. Before use, the container should be shaken well and a test spray should be conducted to ensure uniform spray distribution, taking care not to spray directly into the eyes or septum. Keep this medication out of reach of children, and the effects of this medication on driving or operating machinery are unknown.
