This medicine helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. It lowers the risk of myocardial infarction and stroke and is effective in preventing heart problems such as angioplasty and angina. It particularly reduces the risk of cardiovascular events in adult patients with multiple risk factors such as hypertension, smoking, and diabetes. Additionally, it helps reduce the risk of hospitalization due to congestive heart failure, aiding in the maintenance of heart health. In patients with hyperlipidemia, it contributes to lowering total cholesterol and LDL-cholesterol levels while increasing the levels of good cholesterol, HDL. It is also used as an adjunct treatment to lower LDL-cholesterol levels in pediatric patients. This medicine is effective in the prevention and treatment of heart and vascular diseases.
