While taking this medication, severe allergic reactions such as shock or symptoms similar to anaphylaxis may occur rarely; if such symptoms arise, the medication should be discontinued immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Additionally, blood tests should be performed regularly as leukocyte or platelet counts may decrease, and any abnormal symptoms should be monitored. If there are abnormal results from liver function tests, the medication should be stopped and treatment should be initiated, as liver function issues may arise. If allergic symptoms such as hives, rashes, or itching occur on the skin, the medication should be discontinued, and the treating physician should be consulted. Neurological symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, or numbness may occur; caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery. Gastrointestinal symptoms may include dry mouth, constipation, abdominal distension, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, heartburn, abdominal pain, belching, and altered taste. If liver enzyme levels rise sharply, or if fever and rash occur, the medication should be stopped immediately, and a hospital visit should be arranged. Blood-related abnormalities such as thrombocytopenia and changes in leukocyte counts may occur, necessitating regular testing. Other symptoms such as breast pain or swelling, palpitations, fever, flushing of the face, tongue numbness, cough, shortness of breath, hair loss, menstrual irregularities, and kidney function abnormalities may also occur; any abnormal symptoms should be reported to a healthcare professional. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks of using this medication, and breastfeeding women should avoid breastfeeding as the medication can be passed through breast milk. Caution is advised in the use of this medication in children, especially low birth weight infants, neonates, infants, and children, as safety has not been sufficiently established. Elderly patients may have decreased physiological functions, therefore special attention should be paid to gastrointestinal symptoms and other adverse reactions.
