Precautions

This medication is used to treat asthma and allergic rhinitis. During treatment, there may be unusual symptoms in the nervous system, so patients and caregivers should pay attention to changes such as restlessness, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, and suicidal thoughts. If any of these symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, so patients with phenylketonuria should avoid taking it. If it contains lactose, patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders should not take this medication. This medication is not an emergency treatment for acute asthma attacks; separate emergency medications should be used during acute symptoms. Do not use this medication alone for exercise-induced bronchoconstriction; if necessary, continue to use an inhaled bronchodilator. Patients with an allergy to aspirin should not take this medication together with aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). There is a rare chance of systemic eosinophilia or vasculitis symptoms occurring during treatment, so if these symptoms are suspected, medical consultation is necessary. There have been no reported special interactions with other medications, but when used with certain enzyme inducers, medical observation is needed. During pregnancy, it should only be taken when absolutely necessary, and caution is also required when breastfeeding. It can be safely used across various age groups from children to the elderly, but safety has not been established for children under 6 months. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so general treatment and monitoring are necessary. Store in a place out of reach of children, and it is advisable to keep it in the original container. Continue taking the medication even if symptoms are absent, and consult a doctor if symptoms worsen. Additionally, keep a rapid-acting inhaler on hand to prepare for acute exacerbations, and inform a doctor immediately if any neuropsychiatric symptoms occur during treatment.
