Precautions

This medication is used to control symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis, and is not a treatment for acute asthma attacks. During treatment, neuropsychiatric symptoms such as agitation, anxiety, depression, hallucinations, and suicidal thoughts may occur, so if any of these symptoms develop, you should inform your doctor immediately. Patients with a history of allergy to this medication or with specific genetic issues, such as lactose intolerance, should not take this medication. Pregnant or nursing women should take this medication only when necessary, as sufficient studies on its safety during pregnancy have not been conducted. No specific drug interactions have been reported when used with other asthma treatments, but if using with certain medications, you should follow your doctor's instructions. This medication is sensitive to light, so do not open it until just before taking it, and take it immediately after opening; it should be stored out of the reach of children. There is no specific antidote for overdose, so appropriate treatment should be sought based on symptoms, and you should consult a physician. Patients with exercise-induced asthma should not rely solely on this medication for symptom prevention and should continue to use inhaled bronchodilators as recommended by their physician.
