If blood pressure is not well controlled, the dose may be increased to 160 mg per day or used in combination with diuretics, with a maximum daily dose of 320 mg. Precautions

This drug should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus. If pregnancy is confirmed, discontinue use immediately. Patients with allergies to this medication or severe impairment of liver and kidney function, as well as those with a history of certain angioedema, should avoid use. Additionally, patients with moderate to severe kidney impairment among diabetics should not use this drug in combination with certain other medications. Elderly patients or those with elevated potassium levels, and patients with mild liver impairment, should exercise extra caution when using this medication. Patients with heart valve abnormalities or cardiovascular diseases should also be careful to avoid excessively low blood pressure. This medication can cause a rapid decrease in blood pressure, so patients undergoing dialysis or taking diuretics may experience symptoms of hypotension when they start taking it. If hypotension symptoms occur, immediate medical attention is necessary. This drug can interact with other antihypertensives, diuretics, and potassium-sparing agents, so patients on other medications should inform their healthcare providers. In particular, concurrent use with drugs that can elevate potassium levels may increase the risk of hyperkalemia. While taking this medication, dizziness or drowsiness may occur; hence caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery. If pregnant, taking this drug may lead to severe side effects such as impaired renal function in the fetus, craniosynostosis, and therefore it should not be taken during pregnancy. Breastfeeding women are also advised to avoid this medication. Safety and efficacy have not been established in children and adolescents, and its use is not recommended. In case of overdose, severe hypotension or reduced consciousness may occur, necessitating immediate hospital treatment. This drug should be kept out of the reach of children and should not be transferred to another container as it may adversely affect quality.
