This medication helps alleviate various symptoms of colds, including sore throat, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. It is used to reduce discomfort associated with colds and assist with recovery.

How to take

Adult dose

For those aged 15 years and older: 1 tablet, 3 times a day after meals, 30 minutes post-meal.

Precautions

This medication may put stress on the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three drinks of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist. Because it contains acetaminophen, serious skin rashes, blisters, or allergic reactions may occur; if any skin abnormalities arise, discontinue use immediately. Care should be taken not to exceed the daily maximum dosage of 4,000mg of acetaminophen when taking this medication, and it should not be taken together with other acetaminophen-containing medicines. Do not take this medication if you have a hypersensitivity to it, have a history of asthma, are less than 3 months old, or are taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications. Caution should be exercised if there is an allergy to yellow dye, and it is safe not to take this medication with cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic conditions or diseases of the liver, kidneys, heart, pregnant women, or those who may become pregnant should consult a healthcare professional before taking. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, dizziness, or difficulty breathing occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, visit a hospital. Children under 2 years old should generally not take this medication; if absolutely necessary, follow a doctor's instructions. This medication should be taken according to the prescribed dosage and directions; long-term use should be avoided, and alcohol consumption should not occur during use. The risk of side effects may increase when taken with certain medications, so any concomitant medication should be discussed with a professional. Store in a place out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry location, and do not transfer it to another container.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, paleness (anaphylaxis), severe rash with high fever, blisters, painful mucous membranes of the mouth/eyes (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis), asthma, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough with fever associated respiratory abnormalities, liver abnormalities (jaundice), extreme fatigue, severe skin abnormal reactions, serious liver dysfunction

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (flushing), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, edema (swelling), dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)
