This medication is used to relieve symptoms of cough and phlegm.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Ages 15 and older: 1 capsule 3 times a day

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. It should also not be taken by anyone who has had an allergic reaction to this medicine or any of its components. Furthermore, individuals currently taking or who have taken MAO inhibitors (such as antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, or anti-Parkinson's drugs) within the last two weeks should not take this medication. Do not take this medication with other cough suppressants, cold medicines, antihistamines, or sedatives while on this medication, as interactions may occur. If you or any family member has a history of allergies, such as hives, contact dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, migraines, or food allergies, consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Additionally, those who have previously experienced allergic reactions such as fever, rash, joint pain, or itching due to medication should also consult a professional. Anyone with liver, kidney, heart, thyroid diseases, diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, or who are elderly, physically weak, or have a high fever should also consult a specialist before taking this medication. This is also applicable for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as nursing mothers. Smokers or those with asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, excessive phlegm, or a cough lasting more than a week, or cough accompanied by fever, rash, or headaches should also consult a doctor before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, dizziness, urinary difficulties, persistent thirst, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Also, if symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, stop taking the medication and visit a hospital. For children under 2 years old, this medication should not be administered unless absolutely necessary, and only under a doctor’s supervision. This medication must be taken according to the specified dosage and directions, and it is advisable to use syrup formulations instead of soft capsules for children under 7 years old. During treatment, alcohol should be avoided, and caution should be taken when driving or operating machinery due to potential drowsiness. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a sealed container away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place. It is important not to transfer the medication to another container to maintain quality.
