This medication is used for the treatment of epithelial damage of the conjunctiva caused by endogenous diseases such as Sjögren's syndrome, mucous membrane pemphigoid, xerophthalmia, and exogenous causes associated with surgery, medication, trauma, contact lens wear, etc.

How to apply drops

Adult eye dose

For 0.1% and 0.3% formulations, instill 1 drop 5-6 times a day. Adjust as necessary according to symptoms. Usually, the 0.1% formulation is administered, and if it is insufficient for severe diseases, the 0.3% formulation is used.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to protein-based drugs or components of this drug. Symptoms such as itching in the eyes, irritation, redness, conjunctivitis, and corneal disorders may occur, so if these symptoms arise, use should be stopped immediately and appropriate measures taken. Hypersensitivity reactions such as blepharitis or dermatitis may also occur, so if there are symptoms of inflammation on the eyelids while using this drug, it should be discontinued. When using with other eye drops, they should be administered with a gap of about 30 minutes and it is advisable not to use them simultaneously. This drug should be used only for eye drops, and care should be taken to avoid contact of the tip of the container with the eye or eyelashes to prevent contamination. Soft contact lenses should not be used while using this drug, and lenses can be reinserted only after at least 15 minutes have passed after administration. For single-use products, discard the first 1-2 drops before use, and use immediately after opening. Any remaining solution after use should be discarded. Keep out of reach of children, store away from direct sunlight, and in a cool place. To maintain quality, do not transfer to another container and avoid sharing whenever possible. The phosphate component in this drug may rarely cause calcification of the cornea in patients with significant corneal damage, so caution is advised.
