Precautions

This medication can be burdensome to the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. One of the ingredients in this medication, pseudoephedrine, can rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if a rash, fever, or small blisters appear on the skin, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. Additionally, the acetaminophen component can rarely cause life-threatening severe skin conditions, so if any unusual skin symptoms occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult medical personnel. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen should not exceed 4,000 mg, and to prevent liver damage, this medication should not be taken with other medications containing acetaminophen. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication, have a history of asthma, are under 3 months old, or are currently taking or have recently stopped certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications, or those with severe hypertension or kidney disease should not take this medication. During treatment, do not use cough medications, other cold medications, antipyretic analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines together. Infants or children, those with allergies or specific conditions, pregnant women and nursing mothers, the elderly, or those with gastrointestinal issues or heart, kidney, or liver diseases should consult a professional before taking this medication. If any unusual symptoms such as skin rash, itching, nausea, swelling, dizziness, or insomnia occur after taking this medication, stop immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. In particular, if symptoms such as hives, difficulty breathing, severe skin damage, jaundice, severe headache, or seizures occur, seek medical attention immediately. Children under 2 years old should not use this medication, and if absolutely necessary, should receive a doctor's assessment. Be sure to adhere to the prescribed dosage and frequency, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from alcohol consumption. Drowsiness may occur while taking this medication, so it is advisable to avoid driving or operating machinery. When taken with certain medications, the metabolism of acetaminophen may slow down, so caution is necessary during concomitant administration. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
