This medication is used to relieve various symptoms of colds such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain. It helps to improve overall discomfort caused by colds.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older: Take 2 capsules 30 minutes after meals, three times a day.

Child dose

Ages 8 to under 15: Take 1 capsule 30 minutes after meals, three times a day.

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver; therefore, individuals who consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a physician or pharmacist before use. One of the components in this medication, pseudoephedrine, can rarely cause severe skin reactions such as rash or blistering; if fever or skin rashes occur, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a specialist. As this medication contains acetaminophen, caution should be exercised to not exceed the maximum dosage per day, and it should not be taken with other acetaminophen-containing medications. Individuals who have hypersensitivity to this medication or have experienced asthma or allergic reactions to this or similar medications should not take it. It is also advised to avoid use in infants under 3 months, individuals taking certain antidepressants or psychiatric medications, patients with uncontrolled hypertension, and those with severe kidney disease. During treatment, it is advisable not to take any other cold medications, cough suppressants, analgesics, or antihistamines concurrently. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic predispositions, or those with liver, kidney, or heart diseases should consult a specialist before use. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, difficulty breathing, or severe headaches occur during use, discontinue the medication immediately and consult healthcare professionals. For children under 2 years old, do not use unless directed by a physician. Be sure to follow the prescribed method and dosage of use, avoid long-term use, refrain from alcohol consumption, and be cautious of drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating machinery. Moreover, store the medication in a place out of the reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and in a cool and dry place in a sealed container. Do not transfer the medication to another container and take care to prevent misuse and maintain quality.

Interactions

Drug interactions
