Precautions

This medication may irritate the upper gastrointestinal mucosa and can cause esophageal adverse reactions such as esophagitis or esophageal ulcer. If you experience symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, pain while swallowing, pain behind the sternum, or heartburn, you should stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor. After taking the medication, do not lie down for at least 30 minutes and take it with plenty of water to reduce the risk of esophageal irritation. Patients with conditions that delay esophageal emptying, those unable to sit or stand upright for at least 30 minutes, those allergic to the ingredients of this medication, those with hypocalcemia, and those with certain genetic metabolic problems should not take this medication. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as indigestion, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, acid reflux, esophagitis, as well as musculoskeletal pain, headaches, and dizziness have been reported. If you experience severe bone, joint, or muscle pain, you should consult a doctor, and if symptoms are severe, you may need to stop taking the medication. This medication may reduce absorption when taken with calcium supplements or antacids, as well as some other medications, so a gap of more than 30 minutes should be allowed between doses. Care should be taken when using this medication with aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal adverse reactions. During pregnancy, the decision to use this medication should be made carefully considering the potential risks to the fetus and mother, and caution is also necessary when breastfeeding. It should not be used in children, and elderly patients or those with significantly reduced kidney function should consult a doctor before use. When taking this medication, it should be taken in the morning with plenty of water before the first food or drink, and do not lie down for 30 minutes after taking it. This medication should be swallowed whole, as chewing or sucking it can cause damage to the esophagus. Rarely, long-term use may lead to fractures in specific areas of the bone, so consult a doctor if abnormal symptoms occur. In the event of overdose, hypocalcemia or gastrointestinal irritation symptoms may appear, and you should visit a medical institution immediately; do not induce vomiting. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and transferring it to other containers should be avoided.
