Patients who are hypersensitive to this medication or those with genetic issues preventing lactase breakdown should not be treated with this medication. Various adverse reactions such as shock, anaphylaxis, blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, respiratory problems, muscle abnormalities, skin rash, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal issues, cardiac arrhythmias, and urinary system abnormalities may occur during use. If symptoms arise, discontinue use immediately and seek medical care. In particular, this medication is not an immediate relief for asthma attacks, so it is essential to explain this to the patient. In case of severe attacks, bronchodilators or steroids should be used. Patients using steroids long-term should gradually adjust their steroid dosage while taking this medication, as abrupt cessation may lead to a relapse of the original condition. Additionally, severe side effects such as vasculitis may occur while taking this medication, so eosinophil levels and related symptoms should be closely monitored. There may also be potential mental health issues, so the patient's condition should be carefully observed. If the effect does not manifest, do not use this medication for extended periods, especially in children who may not be able to express their symptoms well; therefore, caregivers must closely observe the patient's condition. This medication may interact with enzymes metabolized by the liver, and when taken with specific antibiotics or antifungals, blood concentration levels may change, so it is advised to consult a doctor or pharmacist. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication if the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Use should be avoided in infants under 1 year of age, low-birth-weight infants, and newborns due to unverified safety, and elderly patients, whose bodily functions may be impaired, should preferably take a reduced dosage. Finally, keep this medication out of the reach of children, and it is important to avoid transferring the medication to other containers for quality maintenance and safety.
