This medication is used to treat peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults and is used as an adjunct for partial seizures in epilepsy. It also helps alleviate symptoms of fibromyalgia. It is effectively used for the treatment of various neurological disorders.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication should be taken orally, divided into two doses per day, regardless of food. 1. Neuropathic Pain - Peripheral Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose of 150 mg per day, after 3 to 7 days can increase to 300 mg per day, and if necessary, can increase to a maximum of 600 mg per day at 7-day intervals. - Central Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose of 150 mg per day, can increase to 300 mg per day after one week.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy data are insufficient for children under 12 years and adolescents aged 12 to 17 years, so use is not recommended.

Precautions

This drug may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, so mood and behavior changes should be closely monitored during treatment. Patients with allergies to this medication or issues with lactose breakdown should not take it. Diabetic patients may need to adjust doses of blood sugar control medications due to weight gain.
