Precautions

This medication can put stress on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. The acetaminophen component of this medication can, on rare occasions, cause serious skin reactions; therefore, if skin rash or hypersensitivity occurs, you must discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen is 4,000 mg, and care should be taken to ensure that the total dosage from all acetaminophen products does not exceed this amount. The pseudoephedrine component in this medication can occasionally cause serious skin adverse reactions. If symptoms like fever, erythema, or small blisters occur, you should stop taking the medication immediately and consult a professional. This medication should not be taken by individuals with certain allergies or hypersensitivities, infants under three months of age, those taking certain antidepressants, or persons with uncontrolled high blood pressure. While taking this medication, it is safe not to use cough medications, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, and antihistamines together. Infants and children infected with varicella or influenza, individuals with allergic dispositions, those with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, the elderly, and pregnant women must consult professionals before use. If unusual symptoms such as rash, itching, nausea, vomiting, or dizziness occur while taking this medication, you should discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist, especially if severe allergic reactions or difficulty breathing occurs, in which case you should visit a medical institution immediately. Children under the age of 2 should not take this medication, and if necessary, must obtain a doctor's consultation. Adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage, do not use it for long periods, and avoid alcohol while taking this medication. Additionally, this medication may cause drowsiness, so refrain from driving or operating machinery, and be cautious as acetaminophen metabolism may slow when taken with certain medications. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool, dry place in a tightly closed container. For quality maintenance, it is advisable not to transfer to another container.
