How to take

Precautions

This medication can cause severe lactic acidosis or hypoglycemia, so patients should discontinue use and consult a doctor, especially if kidney function has significantly declined. In cases of dehydration, severe diarrhea, vomiting, or fever, temporarily halt the use of this medication and inform healthcare providers. Patients with cardiovascular disease risk should exercise caution with this medication, and blood sugar levels and cardiovascular status should be monitored regularly during treatment. This medication is not for use in patients with insulin-dependent diabetes, acute metabolic acidosis, severe liver or kidney function impairment, or in pregnant or breastfeeding women.   • Hives.

  • Severe skin reactions: severe rash, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mouth/eyes mucosa.
  • Liver abnormalities (jaundice): yellowing of skin or eyes, extreme lethargy.
  • Severe neurological symptoms: sudden and extremely severe headaches, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis.
  • Severe swelling or urination abnormalities: pronounced swelling throughout the body, significantly decreased urine output.
  • Cardiac arrest.
  • Thrombocytopenia.

Mild side effects

  • Gastrointestinal symptoms: diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal bloating, loss of appetite, indigestion, constipation, abdominal pain, or a feeling of fullness or pressure in the upper abdomen.
  • Specific sensory symptoms: metallic taste, transient visual impairment, taste disorder.
  • Skin reactions: erythema, itching, rash.
  • Hematological abnormalities: thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, hemolytic anemia, anemia, granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis, pancytopenia.
  • Others: decreased and deficiency of Vitamin B12, hepatic.
