This medication is used to relieve cold symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, cough, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle aches.

How to take

Adult dose

Aged 15 and older: 2 capsules per dose, taken three times a day after meals

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver, so those who regularly consume more than three drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist. The ingredients in this medication can rarely cause serious skin reactions, so if a rash or allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum allowable dosage of the ingredients in this medication per day, and be careful of ingredient overlap when taking with other medications. This medication contains specific colorants, so those allergic to these colorants should take caution when using it.   • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), severe lethargy → liver abnormalities (jaundice)
  • Respiratory issues accompanied by cough + fever, dyspnea or difficulty breathing → respiratory problems

Mild side effects

Nausea, vomiting, decreased appetite, constipation, stomach pain, gastrointestinal bleeding, stomach discomfort, hearing loss, tinnitus, difficulty urinating, dry mouth, dizziness, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA), rash, redness, itching, swelling

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, antiparkinson drugs, etc.), cough suppressants and expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, antihistamines (oral medications for rhinitis, anti-motion sickness drugs, allergy medications), or formulations containing diphenhydramine. Barbiturates, tricyclic antidepressants, diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, and anticoagulants.

Food interactions

Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication.
