This medication is used to relieve various symptoms caused by colds, including runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, throat pain, cough, phlegm, chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 years and older and adults: Take 2 capsules three times a day 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver, so individuals who consume more than three alcoholic drinks per day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Serious adverse reactions such as skin rash or blisters may appear during treatment with this medication; if such symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. This medication contains ingredients that can cause liver damage, so care must be taken not to exceed the maximum daily dose and it should not be taken with other medications containing acetaminophen. Particularly, as it contains pseudoephedrine, severe rashes or pustules may occur; if such symptoms appear, stop taking the medication and consult a physician. This medication should not be taken by individuals with a history of certain allergic reactions or asthma, infants under three months of age, those taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics, patients with uncontrolled hypertension, or those with severe kidney disease. Additionally, this medication should not be taken with other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines during treatment. Children who have had or are suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with specific allergic tendencies, those with liver, kidney, heart, or thyroid diseases, pregnant or nursing women, and individuals with specific cough symptoms should definitely consult a professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, vomiting, swelling, dizziness, insomnia, difficulty breathing, or symptoms of liver dysfunction occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Children under the age of 2 should not take this medication except in special cases. When taking this medication, adhere to the prescribed dosage, avoid prolonged use, and refrain from consuming alcohol during treatment. Additionally, as drowsiness may occur, driving or operating machinery should be avoided. Rarely, serious metabolic anomalies may occur if this medication is taken with certain antibiotics, so caution is advised. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a tightly sealed container in a cool and dry place. It is advisable not to transfer the medication to another container for storage.

  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy → liver abnormalities (jaundice)
  • Sudden and severe headache

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication concurrently with cough expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Do not take if you are currently on MAO inhibitors or have stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if taking diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, or tricyclic antidepressants.

Do not consume alcohol while taking this medication.
