Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially during the second and third trimesters; it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. It is not safe to use this medication in patients with certain conditions, such as severe liver impairment, severe renal impairment, or hereditary angioedema. Additionally, extra caution is needed when administering this drug to elderly patients, patients with hyperkalemia, and patients with mild to moderate liver impairment, and dosage adjustments or frequent monitoring of their condition is required. When starting this medication, blood pressure may drop rapidly; thus, patients undergoing dialysis or those on diuretics, or those on strict sodium restriction should start with a low dose and be closely monitored. Due to the blood pressure-lowering effect, dizziness or lightheadedness may occur, and caution is advised when driving or operating machinery. This medication may increase potassium levels, so when taken with potassium-sparing diuretics or potassium supplements, serum potassium levels should be closely monitored. Furthermore, combining this medication with other antihypertensive drugs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may reduce the effectiveness of blood pressure control or affect kidney function, so consider consulting a doctor. Regular check-ups of liver and kidney functions are recommended during the course of this medication, and any unusual symptoms should be discussed with a healthcare provider immediately. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid taking this medication; if it is necessary to take it, consultation with a healthcare professional is essential. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension and altered consciousness may occur, and immediate medical attention should be sought. Lastly, this medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, and transferring it to another container should be avoided as it can lead to deterioration of quality or accidents.
