Precautions

This medication should not be used in certain patients. Patients who are allergic to this drug or its components, have untreated infections of the nasal mucosa, have had recent nasal surgery or have nasal wounds, and infants under 2 years of age should not use this product. This medication should be used with caution in patients with respiratory tuberculosis, systemic infections, herpetic lesions in the eyes, recurrent nosebleeds, patients at risk of chickenpox or measles, patients with certain types of nasal polyps, pregnant or possibly pregnant women, and nursing mothers. While using this medication, side effects such as headaches, viral infections, pharyngitis, nosebleeds, coughing, and upper respiratory infections may occur. Particularly, long-term high-dose use may show systemic steroid side effects, so caution is advised. After spraying this medication in the nasal cavity, rare but severe allergic reactions such as bronchospasm or difficulty breathing may occur; if symptoms arise, stop using it immediately and seek appropriate treatment. If using this medication long-term, regular check-ups are needed to monitor changes in the nasal mucosa. Furthermore, if a fungal infection occurs in the nasal cavity or pharynx, treatment may need to be discontinued or appropriate measures taken. When switching from long-term corticosteroid use to this medication, careful life function monitoring is necessary, as symptoms of adrenal insufficiency could appear, and withdrawal symptoms of systemic steroids could be evident, requiring following a physician's guidance. Particular caution is needed for patients at risk of exposure to chickenpox or measles virus. Severe complications can occur with infection, so vaccination status and medical history should be checked, and immediate consultation with healthcare is necessary if infection is suspected. Among pediatric patients, growth delay may be a concern, so growth should be regularly monitored in children using this medication. During the use of this medication, visual changes or ophthalmological issues such as glaucoma and cataracts may occur; consult an ophthalmologist if any visual abnormalities arise. This medication may interact with specific drugs, therefore it is essential to discuss with a physician or pharmacist if taking other medications. Pregnant or nursing women should consult with their physician before using this medication, as it may affect the fetus or newborn. Proper usage should be followed, including shaking the container well before use and performing a test spray. Take care not to spray directly into the eyes or on the septum. Finally, store it in a safe place out of the reach of children, and while an overdose does not require special treatment, it is advisable to consult healthcare if symptoms appear.
