This medication is a corticosteroid in a spray form for nasal administration and is mainly used to treat allergic rhinitis or nasal inflammation. First, this medication should not be used in patients who are allergic to this medication or its components or have untreated infections of the nasal mucosa. If a patient has undergone recent nasal surgery or has wounds in the nose, using this medication may interfere with wound healing, so it should not be administered until healing is complete. Also, it should not be used in children under 2 years of age as safety has not been established. Patients with respiratory infections, tuberculosis, fungal infections, or herpes simplex in the eye should use this medication with caution, and those who frequently experience nosebleeds or are at risk of being exposed to chickenpox or measles should also be cautious. Women with nasal polyps or who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a doctor before using this medication. When using this medication, side effects such as headache, nosebleeds, pharyngitis, cough, and upper respiratory tract infections may occur, and in rare cases, severe symptoms such as allergic reactions or anaphylaxis may appear, so one should immediately inform healthcare providers of any unusual symptoms. Long-term high-dose use may cause side effects such as adrenal function suppression due to systemic corticosteroid effects, so caution is necessary. If a fungal infection occurs in the nasal passage or pharynx while using this medication, it should be discontinued or appropriate treatment should be sought, and regular check-ups to monitor changes in the nasal mucosa are recommended. This medication may increase the risk of infection from chickenpox or measles, so it is essential to confirm vaccination status and seek medical care immediately if infection is suspected. In pediatric patients, there is a risk of slowed growth rate, so it is advisable to regularly monitor growth status during use and administer the minimal effective dose possible. In elderly patients, it should be administered carefully considering bodily function decline. In case of overdose, special treatment is generally not required, but caution should be exercised as systemic effects of corticosteroids could suppress adrenal function. Before use, ensure to shake the container well and perform a spray test to confirm that the spray distribution is uniform; avoid spraying directly into the eyes or on the nasal septum. Keep out of reach of children, and it has no special effects on driving or operating machinery.
