It is also helpful in treating nasal polyps in adults aged 18 and older. Additionally, it is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older for the treatment of acute sinusitis without severe bacterial infection.

When symptoms are alleviated, the maintenance dose can be reduced to one spray in each nostril (total daily dose 0.1 mg). Precautions

This medicine should not be administered to certain patients. For example, individuals who are allergic to this drug or its components or who have untreated infections of the nasal mucosa should not use it. It is also not to be given to patients who have recently undergone nasal surgery or have wounds in the nose, and should not be given to infants under 2 years old. This medication should be used cautiously in some patients. For example, patients with tuberculosis or systemic infections, those who experience frequent nosebleeds, and patients at risk of exposure to chickenpox or measles, as well as pregnant women and nursing mothers should use it under a doctor's judgment. When using this medication, various side effects such as headaches, nosebleeds, coughing, and symptoms of infection may occur. Rarely, severe allergic reactions or immediate hypersensitivity reactions such as bronchospasms or breathing difficulties may occur, so usage should be immediately discontinued and medical consultation sought if symptoms arise. Caution is necessary with long-term high-dose use as systemic corticosteroid side effects may emerge. It may also hinder nasal wound healing, so usage should be avoided if there are ulcers or wounds in the nose. This medication may irritate the nasal mucosa, hence regular check-ups should be conducted to monitor for any changes in the nasal mucosa with long-term use. If a fungal infection occurs in the nasal cavity, appropriate treatment should be sought, and if symptoms persist, the medication may be discontinued. Particularly in children, the minimum effective dose should be administered considering the potential for growth delay, and growth status should be monitored regularly. This medication may interact with other medications, especially when combined with CYP3A4 inhibitors, increasing the risk of side effects, hence caution is needed. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should carefully evaluate the potential risks and benefits of this medication before use, and newborns should be closely monitored for adrenal insufficiency. When using, the container should be shaken well, and care should be taken to avoid direct spraying into the eyes or nasal septum, and it should be stored out of reach of children. In case of overdose, special treatment is usually not required, but caution is advised as excessive use of corticosteroids may lead to adrenal suppression. Finally, this medication may cause positive reactions in doping tests, so athletes should be cautious in its usage, and due to the preservative components, nasal mucosal swelling or breathing difficulties may occur with long-term use.
