This medication is used to treat symptoms related to rhinitis such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, nasal polyps, and acute sinusitis. It is particularly effective in preventing and treating allergic rhinitis in children aged 2 years and older and in adults. It can be started 2-4 weeks prior to pollen exposure in cases of severe allergic symptoms. Additionally, in adults aged 18 years and older, it helps alleviate symptoms of nasal polyps. It is also used for treating acute sinusitis in adolescents aged 12 years and older who do not have a bacterial infection. It is effective in improving a variety of rhinitis-related conditions.
For allergic rhinitis, adults (including the elderly) and adolescents aged 12 years and older typically receive 2 sprays in each nostril once daily (total daily dose of 0.2 mg). When symptoms are relieved, the maintenance dose can be reduced to 1 spray in each nostril (total daily dose of 0.1 mg). If symptoms are not alleviated, the dose can be increased to a maximum of 4 sprays in each nostril once daily (total daily dose of 0.4 mg), and symptoms.

If symptoms of infection, facial pain, or periorbital swelling appear, immediate consultation with a physician is advised. Long-term use of this medication may require regular monitoring of changes in the nasal mucosa, and if local fungal infections occur, it may be necessary to discontinue treatment or provide appropriate therapy. As there is a risk of exposure to infections such as varicella or measles, it is essential to confirm vaccination status and medical history before using this medication, and to seek medical attention promptly if an infection is suspected. In pediatric patients, this medication can affect growth rates, so regular growth monitoring is essential, and it is important to use the minimal effective dose. In the elderly, there may be a decline in physical function, so treatment should be conducted carefully while monitoring their status.
