Prevention and improvement of symptoms of allergic rhinitis and sinusitis (including nasal polyps)
This medication is used for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children aged 2 years and older. Particularly, patients with moderate to severe seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms may start using it 2 to 4 weeks before anticipated allergen exposure for prevention. It is also effective for the treatment of nasal polyps in adults aged 18 and older. Additionally, it is used for the treatment of acute sinusitis without severe bacterial infection in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. This medication helps improve symptoms related to rhinitis and sinus-related disorders.
Allergic rhinitis: Generally, spray twice in each nostril once daily (total daily dose: 0.2 mg). If symptoms improve, the maintenance dose can be reduced to once in each nostril (total daily dose: 0.1 mg). If symptoms do not improve, the dose may be increased up to four times in each nostril once daily, and it is recommended to reduce the dose once symptoms alleviate. Nasal polyps: Generally, spray twice in each nostril once daily (total daily dose: 0.2 mg). If symptoms do not improve after 5 to 6 weeks, the dose may be increased to two sprays in each nostril twice daily (total daily dose: 0.4 mg), and it is recommended to reduce the dose once symptoms improve. If there is no symptom improvement with twice-daily dosing for 5 to 6 weeks, alternative treatment methods should be considered. There are no studies on the use of this medication for nasal polyps for more than 4 months. Acute sinusitis: Generally, spray twice in each nostril twice daily (total daily dose: 0.4 mg).
Children aged 2 to 11 years: Generally, spray once in each nostril once daily (total daily dose: 0.1 mg).
