This medication is used in patients with essential hypertension when blood pressure control is insufficient with monotherapy with telmisartan alone. It effectively lowers blood pressure and reduces the risk of cardiovascular complications. Therefore, it is a medication that helps in the treatment of hypertension.

How to take

Adult dose

Patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with telmisartan monotherapy should take this medication once daily with water, regardless of meals. It is recommended to adjust the dosage of each component individually before administering this fixed-dose combination. Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious side effects to the fetus or newborn. It is contraindicated for individuals with allergies to this medication or its excipients, hypersensitivity to sulfonamide drugs, pregnant or nursing women, patients with cholestasis or obstructive biliary diseases, severe liver or kidney impairment, acute glomerulonephritis, anuria, certain electrolyte imbalances, etc. Elderly patients, patients with hyperkalemia, those with mild to moderate liver impairment, heart valve disease, ischemic heart disease, gastrointestinal diseases, and renal artery hypertension should use this medication with extra caution. This medication can interact with other drugs; therefore, it is important to consult a doctor before taking it with lithium, potassium-sparing agents, diuretics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antiarrhythmics, antidiabetics, etc., and to monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and serum potassium levels regularly. This medication should be discontinued as soon as possible during pregnancy, and it is advisable not to use it while breastfeeding. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hypotension, electrolyte abnormalities, and dehydration may occur, so seeking immediate medical care is necessary for appropriate treatment.
