Precautions

This medication contains aspartame, an artificial sweetener, and should not be used by patients with phenylketonuria, a hereditary disorder that restricts phenylalanine intake. This medication contains lactose; therefore, patients with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. During treatment with this medication, adverse reactions such as fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, nasal congestion, and rash may occur. If symptoms persist or worsen, consult a physician. When taking this medication, it should not be used as a treatment for acute asthma attacks; patients should keep separate emergency medication on hand for sudden exacerbations. Patients using inhaled corticosteroids should not suddenly switch to this medication, but should gradually adjust under a physician's guidance. Symptoms of neuropsychiatric effects may occur during treatment with this medication, such as anxiety, depression, hallucinations, suicidal thoughts, etc., and if these symptoms develop, the physician should be informed immediately. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should avoid the use of these drugs while taking this medication, as this medication may not address acute bronchoconstriction in aspirin-sensitive asthma patients. Serious side effects such as vasculitis, worsening of pulmonary symptoms, and cardiac issues may rarely occur, so the physician should monitor the patient's condition carefully. During pregnancy or breastfeeding, a careful assessment is necessary to determine the necessity of this medication; especially in early pregnancy, it should only be used when clearly needed. Pediatric and geriatric patients can also take this medication, but safety and efficacy may differ across age groups, so instructions from a physician should be followed. In the case of an overdose, there is no specific antidote; general treatment and observation should be conducted based on symptoms. This medication is sensitive to light and should be stored in a light-protective, sealed container. It is recommended to maintain the storage temperature between 1°C and 30°C. Proper storage will help maintain the medication's efficacy and safety for an extended period. If asthma symptoms worsen or the use of rescue bronchodilators increases during treatment, consult a physician immediately, and do not suddenly discontinue or change the dosage of other asthma medications without a doctor's direction.
