Arteck Soft Capsule 10mg (Cetirizine Hydrochloride)

Adult dosage

For adults and children over 6 years old, administer 10mg of Cetirizine Hydrochloride orally once daily before bedtime. For patients sensitive to side effects, a dose of 5mg may be given in the morning and evening (for tablets and oral solutions). Adjust the dose as appropriate based on age and symptoms, and for patients with renal impairment, the dosing interval and dose should be adjusted based on renal function. In cases of renal impairment, adjust the dose according to the creatinine clearance.

Children's dosage

For children over 6 years old, administer 10mg of Cetirizine Hydrochloride orally once daily before bedtime. In pediatric patients with renal impairment, dosage should be adjusted individually based on the patient’s renal clearance and weight.

This medication should not be used by patients with an allergic reaction to certain components, severely impaired kidney function, or children under 6 years old. While taking this medication, certain drugs may affect its efficacy or concentration in the body, so it is especially important not to combine it with specific antibiotics or asthma treatments. Additionally, it is advisable not to take this medication with alcohol, as combining it with alcohol can exacerbate drowsiness or decreased concentration. Patients with kidney or liver function issues, as well as the elderly, epilepsy patients, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. This medication can affect urine output, so patients with bladder or prostate conditions should exercise caution. In case of overdose, symptoms such as confusion, drowsiness, headache, and urinary retention may occur, and immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. During use, rare side effects such as skin rash, liver function abnormalities, and blood abnormalities may occur, so if unusual symptoms appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. It is advisable to temporarily discontinue this medication before allergy testing, as it will not affect test results. Caution should be taken while driving or operating machinery, as drowsiness or decreased concentration may occur, and taking this with food does not significantly affect its efficacy. Finally, this medication should be stored out of reach of children, and kept in its original container to ensure safety and maintain quality.
