Precautions
This medication may put a strain on the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three glasses of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. If severe rashes, blisters, itching, or other unusual reactions occur while taking this medication, immediate discontinuation and consultation with a specialist is necessary. This medication contains acetaminophen, and exceeding the maximum daily dosage may cause liver damage, so it should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen. Individuals with a history of allergy to this medication or its ingredients, or those who have experienced respiratory issues like asthma when taking medications in the past, should not take this medication. Infants under three months old should not take this medication, and those already taking specific antidepressants or antipsychotics should avoid using it. During treatment with this medication, it is advisable not to take cough suppressants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Particularly, children, the elderly, individuals with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, and women who are pregnant or nursing should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before use. If symptoms such as rash, vomiting, dizziness, severe hives, breathing difficulties, or jaundice occur while taking this medication, immediately discontinue use and consult healthcare professionals. When giving this medication to children, it should be done under the supervision of a guardian, and should not be administered to children under two years of age unless in special circumstances. Adhere to the prescribed usage and dosage, avoid prolonged use, refrain from alcohol during treatment, and be cautious of drowsiness potentially affecting driving or operating machinery. Also, be careful as using this medication with certain diuretics or medications containing licorice may lead to muscle weakness due to changes in potassium levels in the blood. When taken with certain antibiotics, metabolic acidosis may occur rarely, so immediate consultation with a specialist is recommended if related symptoms are suspected. Lastly, this medication should be stored out of reach of children in a cool and dry place, and not transferred to another container to maintain quality.
