Precautions

This medication contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, which is broken down into phenylalanine in the body. Therefore, it should not be taken by patients with phenylketonuria, a genetic disorder that requires restriction of phenylalanine. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. This medication is used for the treatment of asthma and allergic rhinitis, and its safety and efficacy have been confirmed in various age groups from children over 6 months old to adults. However, it is not intended for use during acute asthma attacks, and in case of acute symptoms, a rescue inhaler should be used immediately. During treatment, side effects such as fatigue, headache, abdominal pain, cough, rash may occur, and rarely, psychiatric symptoms or severe allergic reactions may arise, so patients should consult a doctor if any unusual symptoms occur. While taking this medication, it is advisable to avoid taking aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Patients with hypersensitivity to aspirin should be particularly cautious. If pregnant or breastfeeding, this medication should only be taken if necessary and under the supervision of a physician, as there is insufficient data on its safety. This medication has not been reported to have significant drug interactions when used with other asthma treatments, but monitoring by a physician is necessary when taken in conjunction with drugs that induce liver metabolism. In case of overdose, there are no specific antidotes, and general symptomatic treatment should be administered. It should be stored out of reach of children. Finally, this medication should be taken consistently every day, and even if symptoms are absent, the dosage should not be reduced or stopped without the doctor's instruction. Patients with exercise-induced asthma should continuously use a rescue bronchodilator, and in case of acute symptoms, a quick-acting inhaler should be prepared.
