This medication helps relieve various symptoms caused by colds. It improves nasal symptoms such as runny nose, nasal congestion, and sneezing, and reduces discomfort from sore throats and coughs with phlegm. It also alleviates systemic symptoms, such as chills, fever, headache, joint pain, and muscle pain, helping patients recover quickly. It effectively acts on various cold symptoms to improve them.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and older: 15 mL, 3 to 4 times a day, after meals and before sleep. The dosing interval is 4 hours.

Child dose

Ages 11 and older - under 15 years: 10 mL; ages 7 and older - under 11 years: 7.5 mL; ages 3 and older - under 7 years: 5 mL; ages 2 and older - under 3 years: 3.75 mL; do not administer to children under 2 years.

Precautions

This medication may place a burden on the liver; thus, individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day should consult a doctor or pharmacist before use. Due to the ingredients in this medication, there may be very rare but serious skin allergic reactions, so if any abnormal symptoms such as skin rashes or itching occur, stop use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Since this medication contains acetaminophen, one must be careful not to exceed the maximum daily dose of 4,000mg and should not take it in conjunction with other medications containing acetaminophen. Individuals with a history of allergies or those who have previously experienced asthma, infants under 3 months of age, and those taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics should not use this medication. During the use of this medication, it is advisable not to take other medications containing cough suppressants, cold medicine, analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Children suspected of having chickenpox or influenza, individuals with allergic tendencies, or those with liver, kidney, or heart diseases, the elderly, pregnant or breastfeeding women should consult a healthcare professional before use. This medication should not be used in children under 2 years old; if absolutely necessary, a doctor's consultation must be obtained. If abnormal symptoms such as rash, vomiting, swelling, dizziness, or insomnia occur during use, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. In particular, if hives, difficulty breathing, severe skin rashes, or symptoms of liver dysfunction occur, seek medical attention immediately. This medication must be used strictly according to prescribed dosages, should not be taken for extended periods, and children should be supervised by an adult during use. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication, and be cautious about driving or operating machinery as it may cause drowsiness. Also, caution should be exercised when taking it with certain antidepressants or antibiotics due to the risk of side effects. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, in a cool and dry place. Do not transfer to another container and ensure it is not misused.

Serious side effects

Hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor (severe allergic reaction); severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/conjunctival mucosa (severe skin adverse reactions); shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, cough with fever (respiratory problems); yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy (liver dysfunction); sudden and severe headaches, seizures, confusion of consciousness, vision changes.

Mild side effects

Rash, redness (congestion), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, difficulty urinating, dry mouth (persistent or severe), dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson's medications, etc.), cough expectorants, other cold medications, analgesics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Consult with a doctor or pharmacist if taking with barbiturates or tricyclic antidepressants.
