This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, tearing, sore throat, and heaviness in the head caused by the common cold, allergic rhinitis, and sinusitis.

How to take

Adult dose

Ages 15 and above: 24mL 4 times a day, after meals, and if necessary, before bed. May take up to 6 times a day approximately every 4 hours as needed.

Child dose

Ages 11 to under 15: 16mL Ages 7 to under 11: 12mL Ages 3 to under 7: 8mL Ages 2 to under 3: 6mL

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. People taking certain antidepressants or antipsychotics, such as MAO inhibitors, or those who have recently stopped taking them within the last 2 weeks, should not take this medication. During treatment, other oral medications for rhinitis or cold medications containing antihistamines, cough suppressants, antiemetics, and allergy medications should not be taken together. Individuals with allergic tendencies, such as hives, dermatitis, migraines, or food allergies, should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Those who have previously experienced allergic reactions such as fever, rash, joint pain, asthma, or itching due to medication should also consult a professional before taking it. Individuals with high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, edema, glaucoma, urinary difficulties, thyroid disease, diabetes, those who are weak or have a high fever should consult a doctor before taking. Pregnant women, those who may be pregnant, or breastfeeding mothers should also consult a professional before taking this medication. Elderly individuals or those currently undergoing medical treatment should also seek advice before use. People who smoke, have asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, a cough with excessive phlegm, or coughs lasting over a week or recurring, along with fever, rash, or persistent headaches should consult a professional. If symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, dryness, constipation, loss of appetite, rash, itching, urinary difficulties, headache, drowsiness, fatigue, limb cramps, or paralysis occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Severe allergic reactions, such as anaphylaxis, may occur, so if symptoms such as hives, swelling, chest tightness, pallor, cold sweat, or difficulty breathing appear, inform medical personnel immediately. Long-term use may lead to symptoms like hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, or edema, requiring regular monitoring and discontinuation if abnormalities are detected. If symptoms such as muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis occur, stop taking immediately and consult a healthcare professional. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinue use and consult a physician. Children under 2 years of age should generally not take this medication, but if necessary, a doctor's care is needed. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and frequency during use and avoid prolonged use. When children take the medication, guardians should provide proper guidance and supervision. Drowsiness may occur during treatment, so it is safer to avoid driving or operating machinery. Alcohol should be avoided during use. Caution should be exercised when taking this medication with potassium-containing preparations, licorice-containing medications, and certain diuretics, as side effects may occur.
