Reduces the risk of hypertension and cardiovascular issues and improves dyslipidemia
This medication is used for patients who need to take amlodipine and atorvastatin together. Amlodipine treats cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension and angina and helps prevent complications from myocardial ischemia or coronary artery disease. Atorvastatin improves serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels, reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and vascular surgeries, and is used to treat hyperlipidemia and dyslipidemia. These two drugs are effective in reducing the risk of cardiovascular diseases and promoting vascular health, helping to improve overall cardiovascular status in patients.
This medication is administered only to adults, and the dosage should be individualized for each patient based on the efficacy and tolerability of each component, amlodipine/atorvastatin. Amlodipine (Esamodipine): 5 (2.5) mg should be taken orally once daily, and the dose may be increased to a maximum of 10 (5) mg once daily depending on the patient's response. Atorvastatin: Recommended for patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia.

Additionally, patients with severely impaired kidney function, elderly individuals, alcoholics, patients with a history of liver disease, and those at risk for muscle damage should use this medication with caution. These patients should have muscle enzyme levels monitored before and during treatment and their condition closely observed. Taking this medication can lead to low blood pressure, dizziness, headaches, swelling, and musculoskeletal pain. Rarely, liver function abnormalities or serious allergic reactions, and muscle damage can occur, so any symptoms should be reported to a doctor immediately. Pregnant women should not take this medication as it may pose risks to the fetus, and women of childbearing age should practice adequate contraception while taking it. Overdosing on this medication may present severe hypotension, shock, and cardiac dysfunction, necessitating an immediate visit to a medical facility where treatment will depend on the symptoms. The safety of this medication for children and elderly patients has not been adequately confirmed, thus requiring special attention.
