Cough and phlegm are commonly occurring symptoms in respiratory diseases. To relieve these symptoms, this medication reduces cough and helps thin phlegm for easier expulsion. Therefore, it is used for cough and phlegm.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults aged 15 years and older should take 2 capsules 3 times a day after meals.

Child dose

Children aged 8 to 14 years should take 1 capsule 3 times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by women who are pregnant or may become pregnant. It should not be used in infants under 3 months of age, and those who have had an allergic reaction to this medication or any of its ingredients should not take it. Additionally, individuals currently taking or have stopped taking MAO inhibitors such as antidepressants or antipsychotics within the last 2 weeks should not use this medication. Those with lactose intolerance or certain genetic metabolic disorders should also avoid it. While taking this medication, it is advisable not to combine it with other cough medicines, cold medicines, medications containing antihistamines, and sedatives. Particularly, those with allergic conditions or those who have previously had drug allergy symptoms, individuals with liver, kidney, heart, or thyroid diseases, diabetic or hypertensive patients, those suffering from glaucoma or urination difficulties, elderly persons, those with weakened bodies, and those with high fever should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, individuals currently receiving treatment, and those with specific cough symptoms should also consult a professional before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, itching, vomiting, dizziness, urination difficulties, severe thirst, anxiety, tremors, or insomnia occur during use, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. If symptoms do not improve after 5-6 doses, discontinuation and consultation with a doctor are necessary. As a principle, this medication should not be used in children under 2 years of age, and medical supervision should be sought if it is essential. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and method of administration, and when giving it to children, caregivers must supervise and guide them closely. For children under 7 years of age, using syrup instead of capsules is advisable. During use, avoid alcohol, and due to possible drowsiness, refrain from driving or operating machinery.
