Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Take 0.68-1.69 grams three times a day before meals or between meals. Adjust dosage according to age and symptoms, and if used for preparations, the dosage may be reduced accordingly.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose, so it should not be taken by individuals with a genetic condition that cannot properly digest lactose. Individuals with high blood pressure or the elderly, those with heart or kidney issues, those with body swelling, and patients currently undergoing treatment should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. While taking this medication, if there is a decrease in urination, swelling in the face, hands, and feet, heaviness of eyelids, stiffness in hands, elevated blood pressure, or headaches, you should stop taking it immediately and consult a specialist. Additionally, taking this medication for a long time may result in electrolyte imbalances such as hypokalemia, leading to increased blood pressure, fluid retention, swelling, and weight gain; therefore, regular blood tests should be conducted to monitor the condition. Symptoms like muscle weakness, spasms, or paralysis may occur due to hypokalemia, so if these symptoms appear, stop taking the medication and consult medical staff. Caution should be exercised when taking this medication along with potassium-containing medications or other medications containing licorice, as well as certain diuretics, as side effects may occur more easily. Finally, this medication is very sensitive to moisture, so after use, it must be stored in a sealed container.
