Precautions

This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist before use by individuals who consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily. This is because taking this medication or other analgesics can lead to liver damage. If any unusual symptoms such as rash or hypersensitivity occur while taking this medication, it should be discontinued immediately and medical attention should be sought, as severe skin reactions can occur, although rare. One of the ingredients in this medication may provoke seizures, so patients with a history of seizures or those at high risk of seizures should exercise caution. The risk of seizures may be increased when combined with certain antidepressants, antipsychotics, or narcotics. Serious allergic reactions may rarely occur while taking this medication, so if symptoms such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling occur, emergency treatment should be sought immediately. Patients with acute or severe bronchial asthma should take this medication under strict medical supervision to avoid a severe risk of respiratory depression. Taking this medication along with alcohol or central nervous system depressants (sleep aids, sedatives, etc.) may result in severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, or coma, so concurrent use should be avoided or done only after consulting a healthcare professional. Patients with head injuries or increased intracranial pressure should be cautious when taking this medication, as respiratory depression may worsen their symptoms. This medication can cause toxicity and dependence, so strict adherence to the doctor's instructions during long-term use is necessary, and patients should not discontinue or adjust the dosage on their own. Patients with impaired liver function should consult a doctor before taking this medication, as liver damage may occur due to the acetaminophen component. Patients with certain genetic traits (ultra-rapid metabolizers) may experience rapid breakdown of the active ingredient in this medication, leading to an increased risk of respiratory depression, necessitating alternative medications or dose adjustments. This medication should not be given to children under 12 years of age or to adolescents under 18 who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. Additionally, patients with sleep apnea or hypoxemia should exercise caution, as their symptoms may worsen with this medication. Low sodium levels (hyponatremia) may occur while taking this medication, so especially elderly patients or those with risk factors should be monitored for symptoms closely. This medication can interact with certain drugs, so if other medications are being taken, the doctor or pharmacist must be informed, particularly with regard to concurrent use of MAO inhibitors, antidepressants, antibiotics, and central nervous system depressants. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should consult a healthcare professional before taking this medication, and breastfeeding is not recommended while taking this medication. Care should be taken while driving or operating machinery, as drowsiness or dizziness from this medication may increase the risk of accidents. In case of overdose, serious respiratory depression, seizures, or liver damage may occur, so the prescribed dosage should not be exceeded, and if overdose is suspected, emergency treatment should be sought immediately. This medication should be kept in a safe place away from children, stored in a location that is not easily accessible to others to prevent drug misuse or accidents.
