This medication is used to relieve acute and chronic pain ranging from moderate to severe.

How to take

Adult dose

For children and adults aged 12 years and older: The dosage should be adjusted according to the level of pain and treatment response. A starting dose of 4 tablets is recommended, followed by dosing intervals of no less than 6 hours, and not exceeding 16 tablets in one day. Administer for the shortest duration possible at the lowest effective dosage. Avoid administering this medication for longer than necessary; if prolonged administration is required due to the nature and severity of the condition, regular monitoring should be conducted to evaluate the continuation of this medication.

Precautions

This medication may put a strain on the liver, so individuals who consume alcohol regularly should consult with their doctor or pharmacist. If you experience a rash or hypersensitivity reaction during treatment, discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention. Take caution if you have a history of seizures or are taking medications that may induce seizures, as there is a risk of seizures. Patients with severe respiratory diseases should be administered this medication in a controlled environment, as it may suppress breathing. Avoid concomitant use of this medication with alcohol or central nervous system depressants, as it may lead to severe sedation or respiratory suppression. Patients with head injuries or brain disorders should be cautious when taking this medication due to the risk of increased intracranial pressure. This medication may induce physical and psychological dependence; therefore, monitoring for dependency is necessary during prolonged use. Patients with liver impairment must consult a physician before taking this medication, and should not exceed the recommended dose due to the risk of liver damage. CYP2D6 ultra-rapid metabolizers may have increased levels of the active metabolites of this medication, raising the risk of respiratory suppression; caution is warranted. This medication is not to be administered to children under 12 years old or to adolescents under 18 years who have undergone tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy. Patients with sleep apnea or hypoxia should be continuously monitored for worsening symptoms after taking this medication and should reduce the dose or discontinue use if necessary. This medication may cause drowsiness or dizziness, thus caution is advised while driving or operating machinery. In cases of overdose, severe respiratory suppression, seizures, liver damage, etc., immediate emergency treatment is required. This medication may interact with various other medications, so be sure to inform your healthcare provider of any other medications you are taking. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your physician before taking this medication; it is particularly advised for nursing mothers to discontinue breastfeeding while on this medication.
