This medication is used to improve atherosclerotic symptoms in adult patients with vascular-related diseases such as ischemic stroke, myocardial infarction, and peripheral artery disease. It also improves atherosclerotic symptoms such as cardiovascular-related death, myocardial infarction, and stroke in patients with acute coronary syndrome who have unstable angina or non-Q-wave myocardial infarction and who have undergone medication, coronary intervention, or coronary bypass surgery. Moreover, it helps reduce the risk of thromboembolism and stroke in patients with one or more vascular risk factors who cannot use vitamin K antagonists and have a low risk of bleeding. Thus, it is used effectively to manage and improve the risks of cardiovascular diseases and cerebrovascular complications.
