Relief of symptoms such as allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria
This medication alleviates the symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and reduces related symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Additionally, it helps in alleviating symptoms when used with hydrocortisone topical agents for treatment of dermatitis and eczema accompanied by itching. It is used for improvement of various allergies and skin-related symptoms.
Adults and children over 6 years: Take 1 tablet (equivalent to 5 mg of Levocetirizine Hydrochloride) once daily, regardless of meals. Patients with renal impairment should adjust the dosage based on renal function (eGFR). - Normal renal function (≥ 90 mL/min): 1 tablet once daily - Mild renal impairment (60 -< 90 mL/min): 1 tablet once daily - Moderate renal impairment (
This medication should not be given to patients with allergies or hypersensitivity to specific ingredients. Patients with end-stage renal disease or those undergoing dialysis should not use this medication. Do not use this medication for infants under 1 year of age, and administer it in liquid form rather than tablets for children under 6 years old. This medication contains lactose, so it should not be used by patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic disorders. Patients with impaired renal or liver function, as well as elderly individuals, should be administered this medication cautiously as it may increase the blood concentration. Taking this medication can cause neurological symptoms such as drowsiness, headache, and dizziness, so caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery. Additionally, taking this medication with alcohol or medications that affect the central nervous system can exacerbate drowsiness or decrease concentration, so it's advisable not to take them together. Patients with urinary excretion issues or epilepsy should be particularly careful when taking this medication. This medication may cause various side effects, and serious allergic reactions or abnormalities in liver and kidney function may occur rarely. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should carefully decide on the use of this medication considering its effects on the fetus or infant. This medication should not be used for infants under 1 year of age, and elderly patients may require dose adjustments due to impaired kidney function. It is advisable to discontinue this medication before allergy testing, and in case of overdose, seek appropriate medical care immediately.
