This medication relieves symptoms caused by seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis as well as symptoms of chronic idiopathic urticaria. It can also be used in combination with topical hydrocortisone to help alleviate symptoms of dermatitis or eczema accompanied by itching. It is effectively used for improving various allergy and skin disorder symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children aged 6 years and older are to take 1 tablet (Levocetirizine Hydrochloride 5mg) once daily orally, regardless of meals. Dose adjustment may be necessary depending on renal function. - Normal renal function (≥ 90 mL/min): 1 tablet, once daily - Mild renal impairment (60 -< 90 mL/min): 1 tablet, once daily - Moderate renal impairment (30 -< 60 mL/min): 1 tablet,

Precautions

This medication should not be used by individuals who are allergic to any of its specific ingredients or have hypersensitivity to hydroxyzine or piperazine derivatives. Patients with severely diminished renal function or those undergoing hemodialysis should also refrain from taking this medication. It must not be given to infants under 1 year of age, and it is safer to administer in liquid form rather than tablet form for children under 6 years of age.
