Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have had an allergic reaction to this drug or its components. Additionally, it should not be given to patients with gastrointestinal bleeding, obstruction, or perforation, as it may exacerbate these conditions by stimulating gastrointestinal motility. This medication contains lactose; therefore, it should not be used in patients with a hereditary condition that impairs the digestion of lactose. During treatment, serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may occur; if any symptoms appear, stop taking the medication immediately and consult a healthcare professional. It may affect liver function, so if liver enzyme levels increase or jaundice symptoms appear, discontinue the medication and seek appropriate treatment. During use, gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, and increased salivation, as well as neurological symptoms like headache, anxiety, sleep disturbances, and dizziness may occur. Endocrine disorders such as gynecomastia or elevated prolactin levels may appear, so if such symptoms occur, the use of the medication should be discontinued. Blood abnormalities such as thrombocytopenia or leukopenia may occur, so regular blood testing is recommended, and if abnormalities are found, the medication should be stopped. It may affect kidney function; if kidney-related levels rise, caution is necessary. Rarely, hypersensitivity reactions such as rash, itching, or erythema may occur, so if any skin symptoms arise, stop taking the medication immediately. Extrapyramidal symptoms such as tremors may occur; consider discontinuation if these symptoms appear. Chest or back pain and fatigue may occur after taking the medication; if these symptoms persist, consult a healthcare professional. This medication enhances acetylcholine activity, so it should be used with this in mind, and if gastrointestinal symptoms do not improve, long-term use should be avoided. When taken with anticholinergics, the effects of this medication may be reduced; therefore, caution is needed in managing the dosing schedule. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should only use this medication when the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been established. Lactating women should avoid using this medication if possible, as it may be excreted in breast milk; if it is absolutely necessary to use it, breastfeeding should be discontinued. The safety for children has not been sufficiently established, so it should be used with caution. Elderly patients may experience adverse reactions more easily due to declining body function, so symptoms should be closely monitored, and dosage adjustments or discontinuation should be considered if necessary. Finally, this medication should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring it to another container may result in accidents or a decline in quality, so care should be taken.
