Precautions

This medication may burden the liver, so individuals who regularly consume large amounts of alcohol daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Acetaminophen is included, which can rarely cause severe skin rashes or allergic reactions; if any skin abnormalities occur, discontinue use immediately. The main ingredient, tramadol, may increase the risk of seizures, so patients with a history of seizures or at high risk for seizures should use it cautiously. Additionally, combining it with certain antidepressants or other narcotic analgesics may further increase the risk of seizures, so caution is needed when co-administered. This medication should only be administered in a supervised medical environment to patients with acute or severe asthma as it can be life-threatening. Concurrent use with central nervous system depressants or alcohol can lead to severe drowsiness, respiratory depression, or coma, so coadministration should be avoided or done very carefully. Patients with head injury or increased intracranial pressure should use this medication carefully due to the risk of respiratory issues and increased intracranial pressure. This medication can lead to psychological or physical dependence, so long-term use should be monitored closely for signs of dependence. Especially, patients with poor liver function are at risk for liver damage due to acetaminophen, so they must consult a doctor before use. Patients who genetically metabolize drugs quickly are at higher risk of respiratory depression and may need dosage adjustments or alternative medications. This medication should not be used in children under 12 years of age or in certain pediatric patients after surgery, and adolescents should also avoid use if they have risk factors. Patients with sleep apnea or hypoxia should monitor their condition regularly and adjust the dose as needed, as symptoms may worsen during use. The elderly or patients at risk for hyponatremia should monitor for the possibility of developing hyponatremia. This medication should not be administered to individuals with hypersensitivity to its components, severe respiratory depression, or those taking certain medications. Pregnant or nursing women should carefully consider the impact this medication may have on the fetus or neonate when using it, and it is recommended to avoid use while nursing. Caution is needed while driving or operating machinery as drowsiness or dizziness may occur. Overdosage can lead to serious side effects such as respiratory depression, seizures, and liver damage, so the prescribed dosage must be strictly followed, and medical advice should be sought immediately in case of an emergency. Due to potential drug interactions, individuals taking other medications must inform their doctor or pharmacist, especially when co-administering with antidepressants, antibiotics, or central nervous system depressants. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and kept in a safe place to prevent misuse or abuse.
